Staying at McKay Manor on Duckworth was a pleasant experience that offered a balanced view of luxury and cost during my visit to St John's. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown attractions, making it ideal for exploring the city. The room was clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of the owners upgrading me to a nicer room at no extra charge. Interacting with the owners via email was easy, and their quick responses showcased their dedication to excellent service.However, my stay was not without its drawbacks. As a light sleeper, I was disturbed by noise from people returning from bars in the early hours of the night, despite being located on the third floor. This may be something to consider for those who are sensitive to noise.In terms of amenities, McKay Manor offers essential features such as free Wi-Fi in public areas and a shared kitchen, which can be convenient for guests looking to prepare their meals.
